Aaron Academy has an exemplary staff of teaching and related service professionals who are accomplished in their respective fields. All Head Teachers hold Master's Degrees in Special Education and are certified by the State of New York. Assistant Teachers are either recent graduates of Master's programs, or are in process of completing their Master's level degrees. Specialty teachers hold Master's degrees (or higher) in the area of their instruction, as well as significant education and experience in application of these skills to a population of students with special needs. Related service professionals hold Master's level degrees in their field, and are licensed by the State of New York. All staff members have experience working with adolescents and young adults with special needs. The variety of this experience enriches our staff with depth and breadth of knowledge in the field. Teachers, related service providers, and supervisors participate in CORE Team meetings on a weekly basis in order to collaborate and share ideas in regards to each class of Aaron Academy students. All staff also participates in regular professional development opportunities, including, but not limited to: professional conferences, post-graduate study, curricular workshops, symposia, and continuing education courses. We are especially proud of the contributions to professional development made by our staff in presentations and workshops.
